Having responded to almost 200 WS requests (normally with advice on alternatives if we couldn't host), I would like to map them all to be able to ask back if we get near their place on our own tour. What is the easiest way to take your WS messages and extract all the locations for the members that have contacted you and put them on a map?

I don't think there's a particularly easy way, but one by one you can add their addresses to a list under "Your places" in Google maps. At least then you'll have them all in one place.
1. I hope i can help. For me, i would use a cheat sheet. The old way of writing things down. Disadvantages? You could lost them, worn out paper, blotted ink, getting rain, cant be use in outdoor. etc. Advantages? Easy for me to refer back and look up. Manual search engine is better for me.
2. Excel. You load up a new file in Microsoft Excel, list them in a GPS co-ordinate. Which you can convert or transfer to Google Map. But this method is the hardest when you begin compiling you map. As it is being filled in, it gets easy. I dont think of any disadvantages yet.
